All good things come to an end, right?
Posted On Monday, November 2, 2009 at at 2:55 PM by RebeccaWe hate to say it, but Kelly and I have decided to discontinue this blog. Kelly is expecting her second child, her husband is being deployed again in the spring and I have welcomed my second child and have returned to work. With everything going on in our lives, we feel like it is best that we get rid of some of the unnecessary things taking our time away from our families.
We will leave this blog open for references, but will no longer be posting. If anyone is interested in taking over the blog, feel free to email us at thecouponaddicts@yahoo.com
Thank you to our loyal readers and fellow couponers! It's been fun!

Just a few overall notes: keep in mind that a lot of the office supply stores run out of the deals that are 1¢ and 5¢ on Sunday, so just be prepared that they might be out of stock. Depending on the item and brand, you can try price matching at Walmart, too.
There are some great printable office supply coupons available right now that can be combined with a lot of these sales to bring the price down even lower: there’s one for $1 off two Bic stationary products at Coupons.com, one for $1 off two Zebra pen products at Smartsource.com.
And, Office Max has all their Expo Dry Erase markets, Uni-Ball pens, Bic pens, Crayola crayons, etc on sale for “Buy 2 get the 3rd for 1¢”. Keep in mind that this is about 33% off, and it’s pretty unlikely that 33% off an office supply store’s regular prices is going to be a good deal.

An update one me...
Posted On Saturday, June 13, 2009 at at 10:46 AM by RebeccaI woke up yesterday morning to some heavy bleeding (at 32 weeks pregnant - that is never a good thing) so I had to stay the night in the hospital and I'm supposed to take it easy for the rest of the weekend...everything is fine and I'm home now.
And since everything is fine, I'm annoyed because I was supposed to do my k-mart couponing yesterday! Mike has to work today so I wont have access to a car until 7pm! Oh well...maybe next time!
I'll try to have the drugstores updated today - sorry I'm late!

Posted On Monday, June 1, 2009 at at 10:33 AM by RebeccaI'm somewhat hesitant to post this since it is only in a few states, but I have a lot of Jacksonville readers, so here goes:
Here's how Half Off Depot works, in two easy steps:
1. You go to HalfOffDepot.com, select your city, and pick out gift certificates to your favorite businesses. You then purchase these gift certificates from us for half their face value.
2. Once your certificates arrive in the mail, you take each gift certificate to the business that issued it, and use the full value of your gift certificate (twice what you paid for it) toward your purchase there.
Seriously, that's all there is to it. Whatever you spent at HalfOffDepot.com, you will redeem twofold at the businesses you've selected. And you can expect to be treated as a first-class citizen, because the businesses aren't giving you anything for free — the other half of your gift certificate has already been paid for by their publishing partners. All that makes you is a smart shopper!
And coming soon to: Tuscaloosa, AL Memphis, TN Macon, GA Philadelphia, PA Statesboro, GA Indianapolis, IN

Posted On Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at at 10:39 AM by Nana Scott XOXOWE MADE IT!!!!
Ugh. Seriously. My body was REALLY fighting me this morning... All I wanted to do was crawl back into the covers!! But I got up, got myself ready and was out the door to drag my big sister to the store at 5:30AM!!!
When we got there, there was EASILY over 200 people there... and we knew that the tickets for the free bag of groceries were just for the first 200 paying customers! I was scanning around trying to figure out where to get the ticket, and I heard someone say the tickets were being passed out at the end of the line... WHERE THE CRAP WAS THE END OF THE LINE???
But I found it, ran over there and asked for a ticket- my sister, trailing behind me was running too...
Just in time, I got issued ticket number 197 and my sister got number 199!!! YAY!!!!!
It was pretty chilly this morning... but Josh and baby Reagan were being such troopers!!! (They DO have crazy mom's, ya know...)

have just put out new Kraft coupons totaling $50.
You can print 2 coupons from each site, totaling 4 of each!
With summer coming up, and holidays like Memorial Day and 4th of July, I'm anticipating some good sales, and Kraft is usually part of those sales!
The coupons are available for a while, and the later you print them, the later the expiration date is... So I wouldn't print them out just yet, but go to the sites and get familiar with what coupons are available- then you'll have a better idea of match-ups when you look at your weekly store ads.
***but of course, we'll do that part for you***

Posted On at at 10:45 AM by Nana Scott XOXOAre you a couponer? Then your husband needs to read this!
Posted On Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at at 7:56 AM by RebeccaI came across an article written by the husband of the blog author of "The Bargain Jargon". It is just about the funniest thing I've ever read! Below is a small portion of the post. Click HERE to read the rest of it...enjoy!
I have always been attracted to the nostalgia of years gone by; the crisp look of a shirt with cuff links, the comforting crackle of an old time radio broadcast, the smell of a freshly painted white picket fence; all of these relics resonant with a warmth that reminds me of the goodness of America. The ties to tradition are entreating; homemade fresh apple pie, cheering the home team at a community baseball game, and sharing pictures of cherished children that make us swell with pride. Tradition has been turned on its head.
When proudly flashing the most recent photo received from your wife, most people would expect to hear something like
“What a cute little pumpkin.”
“I know, my wife took this picture during his soccer game. Isn’t it adorable how his ruffled hair radiates the enthusiasm of youth?”
As the husband of a frugal freedom fighter, however, one is more inclined to hear something like,
“What a cute little pumpkin.”
“Yeah, and my wife got it free when she purchased two boxes of stuffing with her coupon from Sunday’s paper.”
Such are the sacrifices made by the spouse of a coupon clipping bargain shopper. Rather than receive adorable photos of my sons playing ball or my daughter as she skips rope with her friends, I get Chronicles of Conquest. These are documentary photographs displaying towers of toilet paper, neatly stacked boxes of corn flakes, or an array of shirts and shorts…pristinely laid out on the floor… empty, rather than filled with any of our cute kids. All are accompanied with the phrase, “Guess how much all this stuff cost me!”
I'm so on top of things!

Posted On Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at at 9:22 PM by Nana Scott XOXO
P&G has a website that you can register at here
You can register your Frequent Shoppers Card number and "load" coupons onto the card to be redeemed electronically when you have your card scanned at the checkout. I registered my Kingsoopers card, but they have a long list of cards you can register, including Kingsoopers, Smiths, Safeway and City Market. Anyway, you go through and click on the coupons you want to load on your card and then they are automatically deducted from your total when you buy the product. You can even print a list of the coupons you have loaded so you remember what you've got on your card. And you can, if I'm not mistaken, register multiple cards.
Special thanks to Rhonda for this awesome tip!!Safeway, Albertson's and Kingsoopers are updated!

Ahhhhh...MyPoints!
Posted On Thursday, August 14, 2008 at at 8:39 AM by RebeccaMyPoints is an advertising company that sends you emails daily and pays you in points to read them. All you have to do is open the email and then follow the link to one of their sponsors. Each time you do this you earn 5 points. You get about 4 emails per day. Sometimes they are surveys where you can earn up to 50 points. If you shop online (hello! Avoid the mall for Christmas shopping!) You earn points per dollar spent at their participating companies. So far from MyPoints I have received: (2) $25 Old Navy Gift Cards (2) $25 CVS Gift Cards (4) $10 CVS Gift Cards All from opening my email and making online purchases that I would have already made. If you would like to join please email me at mike_becca@hotmail.com with your first and last name and email. I'm not gonna lie - I get 250 points for referring YOU!
Using Register Rewards at Grocery Stores
Posted On Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at at 9:00 PM by RebeccaI got off the phone with the district manager of Publix. The Register Rewards from Walgreen's are "manufacturer's coupons" to be used at Walgreens only. The grocery stores do not get reimbursed for them. Walgreens makes a deal with the companies that provide Register Rewards (mainly P&G) to not provide a wide variety of products so that the customer is forced to purchase specific brands. Our grocery stores (thankfully) do not do that, so they make no such deals. If your grocery store still honors them as a "competitor's coupon" then HOORAY! But if they do not you will likely not have a leg to stand on. Sorry for any confusion!

I just talked to a manager who seemed to be well-informed. Turns out that they are doubling coupons, up to $.50, but only 3 like coupons are allowed. So if you have a $.50 coupon it's doubled to $1 but anything over $.50 is accepted only for face value. There was a mistake in the ad as there is no tripling of coupons. This is only going on for this week.
